D5.2: Optimal orchestration of CATALYST market mechanisms

The CATALYST project aims to turn data centres (DCs) into flexible multi-energy hubs through the implementation of a multi-carrier marketplace platform, allowing them to sustain investments in renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, by offering mutualized energy flexibility services to both electricity and heat grids, while simultaneously increasing their own resiliency to energy supply. To this end, CATALYST envisions four variants of the Marketplace, namely:

•LocalDay-Ahead and Intraday Electricity Marketplace for electricity budget trading;

•Local Day-Ahead and Intraday Heat Marketplace for heatbudget trading;

•Local Day-Ahead and Intraday Flexibility Marketplace for flexibility budget trading;

•Regional Day-Ahead and Intraday IT Load Marketplace for IT load trading.
