D6.2: Intermediate CATALYST Framework

The present document is the accompanying report of the intermediate integrated prototype of the CATALYST framework, consolidating the functionalities already available through the initial versions of the CATALYST components developed within Work Packages (WPs) WP3, WP4 and WP5. The intermediate prototype provides sub-system level integration, supporting the operation of four subsystems,namely the Virtual Containers Management subsystem, the Federated Data Centres’ (DCs’) IT Load Balance Optimization subsystem, the DC Energy Flexibility Prediction & Optimization subsystem and the CATALYST Marketplace subsystem.

In more detail, the present report provides the following information:

•The architectural design of the prototype, whichaligns to the CATALYSTarchitecture presented in D2.3.

•The presentation of the four CATALYST subsystems, specifying functional interactions among the CATALYST components which construct subsystem operation flows.

•The description of the functional tests conducted on the CATALYST prototype subsystems and presentation of their results, which can also act as user guidance for the CATALYST subsystems.

•Information about the code availability and installation guidelines, which allows for test replication.

The software prototype subsystems are composed of open source software, which is available on the ‘H2020 CATALYST’ group of Gitlab under GNU Lesser General Public License version 3 (LGPLv3) license.

The finalintegrated prototype of the CATALYST framework is expected to be delivered in D6.3 during the second quarter of 2020.
